I’m Mac Miller, the owner of American Band Instrument Service, and I truly do want to welcome you to our store. Our customers are friends. We are musicians helping other musicians. So, if you are a musician, or want to be a musician, you have found the right music store home.
We are a school music store that specializes in getting beginning students started in school band programs. We have rental programs that help parents get their kids in band without spending a bunch of money.
American Band Instrument Service is situated in a stand-alone building in the middle of the largest shopping area in East Texas. We have been in business in Tyler, Texas for over thirty-four years.
The word “SERVICE” incorporated into our name is no accident. Service to musicians is what we do. When a young, or old person for that matter, begins to learn to play a music instrument the shy become confident, the agitated become calm, the lonely become included, and the quiet become heard. But for all this to happen, you need a partner, someone to help with the problems that arise in the process. We believe that American Band Instrument Service has the best band instrument repair shop in Texas. From the beginning student to the most advanced pro, we can repair you instrument professionally. Over the past few years, we have even developed a following of professional musicians in major cities throughout the country that send us their instruments for professional quality repair. This part of our business has grown over the past few years by “Word of Mouth”. It seems that nothing helps repair sales more than one professional musician telling another about a great repair shop.
American Band Provides Private Teaching Studios
Our store has several private teaching studios. Unlike most stores. We believe this is a part of the service we strive to provide our customer/friends, directors, and teachers. Also, our “American Band Music Education Center”, which is a rehearsal or meeting hall that is attached to our store, is available to our private teachers for recitals. Also, the home school bands meet in this room as does the East Texas Jazz Orchestra.

We can provide all the cleaning, oiling, servicing, and repair that you may need during the life of any band instrument weather we sold it or you unluckily purchase it at some other store.

American Band Instrument Service provides MUSIC LESSONS in a safe comfortable place for your child to come if they want or need private instruction. We have professional teachers that are very helpful in helping students or adults overcome musical problems or to raise above their peers.
